Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ¾ cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until crumbly.
  3. Stir in eggs and vanilla until combined; the batter will be sticky.
  4. Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan. Top with cherries and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the cherries.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
