Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar in a bowl; let it froth for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and mix until combined. Knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled (approximately 1 hour).
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Spread melted butter over it and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll tightly.
  5. Cut into pieces to form bunny shapes by cutting down the middle and twisting for ears.
  6. Place on a baking sheet to rise again for 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes. Cool slightly before drizzling with cream cheese frosting.
