Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 4 slider buns
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar or pepper jack cheese (shredded)
  • Optional toppings: arugula or crispy onions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cowboy Butter by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. Allow the steak to rest before slicing it thinly against the grain. Spread cowboy butter on each side of the slider buns.
  4. Assemble the sliders by placing sliced steak inside the buns and topping with cheese. Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  5. Add desired toppings and serve immediately.

Nutrition

Keywords: For added crunch, toast slider buns before assembling. Consider swapping out steak for grilled chicken or portobello mushrooms for a different twist. To spice things up, add jalapeños or pickled onions as toppings.
