  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk (1 can)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually mix in the flour until crumbly.
  3. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes until just set.
  4. While baking, combine chopped pecans and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until bubbly to create the caramel layer.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the baked base, then crumble the remaining dough on top.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over warm bars and allow them to melt slightly before spreading evenly.
