  • 2 lbs Russet Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 small Onion (optional), thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  4. Add another layer of potato slices, drizzle with remaining cream mixture, and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
