Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is well blended.
  4. Press half of the dough into the prepared baking pan as the bottom crust.
  5. In another bowl, mix pitted cherries with sugar and a bit of flour; spread this mixture over the crust.
  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the cherry filling.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges. Let cool before slicing.
