  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese with one beaten egg and a pinch of salt.
  6. Grease a baking dish and layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
