  • 3/4 cup water (180ml)
  • 1 tsp salt (6g)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. In another bowl, combine the sourdough starter and water until smooth.
  2. Gradually stir the wet mixture into the flour until fully incorporated.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 4-6 hours until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into small portions (about 200g each), and shape into rounds.
  6. Let shaped loaves rise on parchment-lined sheets for 1-2 hours.
  7. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Make shallow slashes on top of each loaf before baking for 20-25 minutes until golden.
