  • 9 oz fresh or frozen ravioli (cheese or meat-filled)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Add marinara sauce to the pan and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with half of the Parmesan and chopped basil until creamy.
  5. In the greased dish, layer marinara sauce, ravioli, and dollops of the ricotta mixture repeatedly until all ingredients are used.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
