  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Fold in the dried fruits.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs and milk until smooth; then add melted butter.
  5. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; stir gently until just mixed.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle almonds on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack; slice while warm.
