  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of water and ½ cup of sugar until dissolved.
  3. Add the cleaned cranberries to the syrup mixture and let soak for at least one hour.
  4. Drain excess syrup and roll cranberries in the remaining ½ cup of sugar until evenly coated.
  5. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to dry for about 30 minutes at room temperature.
