  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the meatballs in batches until cooked through (approximately 8 minutes).
  4. Remove meatballs and reduce heat to medium-low. Add flour to the pan drippings; whisk for about 2 minutes until golden.
  5. Gradually stir in beef broth and soy sauce until smooth; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream and return meatballs to the skillet; simmer for another 5 minutes to soak up flavors.
  7. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.
