Ingredients
  

For the Bread Bowl
  • 1 large round loaf of bread sourdough or French bread
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for brushing
For the Filling
  • 8 ounces brie cheese rind removed
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans optional for crunch
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Bread Bowl
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the top off the round loaf of bread and hollow out the inside, leaving about an inch of bread on the sides and bottom.
  3. Brush the inside of the bread bowl with olive oil.
Assemble the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the brie cheese, cranberry sauce, and chopped pecans.
  2. Mix gently until just combined, ensuring the cheese is evenly distributed.
Fill and Bake
  1. Spoon the filling into the hollowed bread bowl.
  2. Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  2. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve warm, allowing guests to dip into the cheesy filling with the bread.
