Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Filling
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until fully incorporated.
Add Chocolate Chips
  1. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Shape the Rolls
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough and roll them into balls.
  2. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each ball.
Bake the Cookies
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Dust with Powdered Sugar
  1. Once the cookies are cool, dust them lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
