Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 3 cups shredded coconut unsweetened
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
For the Topping
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate melted for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until fully combined.
  3. Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture and form it into small balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the macaroons cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the macaroons for decoration.
  7. Allow the chocolate to set before serving. Enjoy your homemade coconut macaroons!

Notes
