- In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
- Stir in the warm milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Sift the flour into the mixture and mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the batter, being careful not to deflate them.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and carefully pour hot water around the dish to create a water bath.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden and the center is set. Allow to cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with fresh berries if desired.
