Prepare the Cream Mixture
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Using an electric mixer, whip the mixture on medium speed until it forms soft peaks, about 5 minutes.
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
- In a shallow dish, mix the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
Layer the Tiramisu
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish.
